Peas in 25 Seconds video introduction

Here is a cool new feature for Farming Simulator 25. Peas are a symbol of Spring, as they are one of the first crops you can plant. That’s why they represent renewal and growth in some cultures. Starting March you can put out about 250 liters of seed per hectare. And yield about 9600 liters in return. You need a specialized harvester for our green little friends the new harvester OXBO EPD 540E as an example. A self-propelled pea harvester. It’s fun to operate the new machine. More about peas you can read in the preview article.

New Equipment for Pea Farming

With the addition of peas, Farming Simulator 25 would likely introduce a range of new equipment to help players manage this crop. This could include:

Pea-specific Harvesters: Specialized headers or combine attachments could be added to ensure that harvesting peas is efficient and realistic.

Pea Planters: Although existing planters could work, the game might feature new, specialized machines designed to handle legumes like peas, offering better precision and higher yields.

Baling Technology: If peas are baled for silage, Farming Simulator 25 could expand the available baling technology, possibly improving the mechanics introduced in Farming Simulator 22’s Göweil Pack DLC. This could include enhanced balers that can handle different crops more efficiently, as well as new wrapping systems to speed up the fermentation process.

Impact on Gameplay

The addition of peas could impact gameplay in several ways:

Crop Rotation and Soil Health: Since peas are legumes, they improve soil quality by fixing nitrogen, which could reduce the need for synthetic fertilizers. In Farming Simulator 25, this might encourage players to adopt more strategic crop rotations, improving the health of their soil and increasing yields across all crops.

Market Dynamics: Introducing peas could create new market fluctuations, with players needing to carefully consider when to sell their crops for maximum profit. The addition of another high-value crop could also lead to changes in demand and pricing for other crops.

Livestock Feeding: Peas, as a high-protein crop, could also play a role in livestock feed production. Players might be able to process peas into animal feed, improving their livestock operations and adding another layer of complexity to managing farm resources.
